The brief was simple. Make a Chinese New Year film for the Ministry of Communications and Information (MCI) that pays tribute to the selflessness of Singapore's founding Merdeka Generation. 

And get the nation teary-eyed.

Our response? We told a story about a father-and-son duo with matching facial birthmarks. 

A story that reminds us all: Sometimes the greatest sacrifices are the ones we do not see.
